Red Hat open sources Quay container registry

Following their own tradition Red Hat has release the Quay container registry under an open source license. Project Quay is the upstream project behind the container image registries of Red Hat Quay and Quay.io. The Quay team also created and integrated the Clair open source container security scanner that can scan hosted images for known security vulnerabilities.

Project Quay contains a collection of open source software licensed under Apache 2.0 and other open source licenses. It follows an open source governance model, with a maintainer committee.

Red Hat encourages all interested parties to participate and join Project Quay that is hosted on https://projectquay.io/
